Garfield’s Lance Fernandez scored his third touchdown of the half, rushing for a four-yard score with 24.5 seconds before halftime to put his team ahead of Roosevelt, 22-15.

Fernandez’ run was nifty. He made a nice juke on a toss play to elude a defender that could’ve tackled him for a loss, then sped toward the left side and out-ran several defenders to the end zone.
