A 19-yard field goal by Steve Pelino with 10 seconds left gave Oaks Christian a 17-14 Marmonte League victory over Moorpark and kept alive the Lions’ chances of finishing in a three-way tie for first place.
Yes, Oaks Christian could be right in the same position as it was last season. All that needs to happen is for St. Bonaventure to knock off Westlake next week, and another three-way tie would occur, requiring coin flips to decide the Northern Division playoff seeds from the Marmonte.
