Football: Mater Dei, Notre Dame freshman teams finish 10-0

There’s good news for the Santa Ana Mater Dei football program. The freshman team completed a 10-0 season on Thursday with a 28-7 win over previously unbeaten JSerra.

Sherman Oaks Notre Dame also went 10-0 after beating Alemany, 41-28.

Another unbeaten freshman team was Newhall Hart, which went 10-0.

Maybe Mater Dei, Hart and Notre Dame can meet on a Saturday to settle who’s the best freshman team in the Southland.
