Here are the seedings for the City Section Division I playoffs that begin on Friday. The seeding meeting pretty much followed Maxpreps.com rankings and rewarded teams with strong schedules regardless whether they won or lost.

No. 16 Gardena at No. 1 San Pedro

No. 9 El Camino Real at No. 8 Crenshaw

No. 12 Garfield at No. 5 Carson

No. 13 Taft at No. 4 Venice

No. 14 Fairfax at No. 3 Dorsey

No. 11 Arleta at No. 6 Birmingham

No. 10 Westchester at No. 7 West Adams

No. 15 Reseda at No. 2 Narbonne
