On a football team that is 11-0 and has few weaknesses, unbeaten Westlake Village Westlake has a weapon that continues to produce every game: kicker Alex Ball.
He made his 17th field goal last week in a first-round Northern Division playoff victory. He also has boomed 74 of 90 kickoffs into the end zone for touchbacks.
Kickoffs into the end zone are one of the most underrated keys to victory. They prevent a potential kickoff return for a touchdown and greatly help the defense, forcing a team to start from its own 20.
