Former Woodland Hills Taft Coach Troy Starr has Helix two wins away from a San Diego Section Division II championship and a possible CIF state championship bowl berth.

Helix is 10-1 entering a semifinal game on Thursday against Mission Hills. The championship game would be next Monday, Dec. 5.

Oceanside or La Costa Canyon present the challenge ahead if Helix gets past Mission Hills.
