Boys’ basketball: L.A. Windward beats Cleveland in OT

It took overtime, but Los Angeles Windward held on for a 66-65 victory over Reseda Cleveland in a nonleague game Thursday.

Nicholas Stover scored 21 points and had 12 rebounds for the Wildcats (11-5). Cleveland received a big game from Jason Moore, who was hitting from three-point range and finished with 19 points.

La Verne Lutheran defeated Chino Hills, 61-36. Grant Jerrett scored 22 points, had seven rebounds and five blocks. Eric Cooper had 19 points.

In the Huntington Park tournament, University defeated Reseda, 68-58. Malik Spears had 18 points and 12 rebounds. Teddy Linn scored 15 points for Reseda.
