Football: No Southern Section intervention regarding Santa Margarita

The Southern Section is not involved in investigating or punishing Santa Margarita regarding its handling of two assistant football coaches who were fired after the season, according to Southern Section spokesman Thom Simmons.

‘They haven’t violated any rule,’ Simmons said.

The Southern Section also is not involved in personnel matters with schools.
