Boys’ basketball: Marcus LoVett Jr. vs. Aaron Holiday on Saturday

There’s an interesting basketball game on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at Taft High as part of the one-day War on the Floor event.

It will match Burbank Providence and freshman guard Marcus LoVett Jr. against North Hollywood Campbell Hall and freshman guard Aaron Holiday. It was originally scheduled for Pierce College.

These are two future college players who possess explosiveness and tremendous offensive skills. Fans should be entertained, and it’s a good idea to take a look at them now and then see how much they’ve improved when they are seniors.

The complete schedule for Saturday: Village Christian vs. Rolling Hills Prep, 11 a.m. (girls); Rolling Hills Prep vs. St. Genevieve, 12:30 p.m.; Granada Hills Hillcrest Christian vs. Thousand Oaks Hillcrest Christian, 2 p.m.; Providence vs. St. Lucy’s (girls), 3:30 p.m.; Pacific Hills vs. Sylmar, 5 p.m.; Campbell Hall vs. Providence, 6:30 p.m.; Sierra Canyon vs. Flintridge Prep, 8 p.m.
