Boys’ basketball: Jordan McLaughlin continues to excel

One of the best sophomores this season has been guard Jordan McLaughlin of Etiwanda. He scored 26 points Tuesday in his team’s 89-67 victory over Rancho Cucamonga.
Etiwanda improved to 20-1 and 5-0 in the Baseline League. Sam Flemming added 23 points and 10 rebounds.
In the Foothill League, Hart handed Canyon Country Canyon (19-2, 4-1) only its second loss of the season with a 59-56 victory. Hart improved to 13-8 and 3-2. Freshman Myles Franklin scored 18 points for Hart. Clay Kasdorf led Canyon with 29 points.
In the Liberty League, Providence defeated Viewpoint, 85-67. Patrick Gonzalez had 27 points and Marcus LoVett Jr. 25 points.
