CIF announces Model Coach Award winners

Six local coaches have been selected as winners of the CIF Model Coach Award, recognizing coaches who have served as positive role models in their schools and communities and exhibited the traits in the 16 principles of Pursuing Victory With Honor.
They include Seka Edwards, baseball and football coach at Westchester; Dora Perez, softball coach at L.A. Roosevelt; Ann Dena Sjoerdsma, girls’ basketball coach at Riverside King; Terry Tierney, cross country and track coach at Rancho Cucamonga; Barry Turner, soccer coach at Santa Ana Foothill, and Dave White, football coach at Huntington Beach Edison.
