Brian Esquival has resigned as baseball coach at St. Francis, according to a news release from the school. Assistant Aaron Milam has been named interim coach.

Esquival did not coach last Saturday against Salesian or in a Monday Mission League opener against Loyola. Principal Tom Moran said at the time he had ‘no comment’ as to Esquival’s status.

“With Aaron’s coaching experience and knowledge of our players, we are confident in his ability and believe he will provide a smooth transition for the program,” Athletic Director Terry Terrazone said in a school statement
