Football: Marmonte, Century lose appeals

The Southern Section playoff grouping committee has rejected appeals from the Marmonte and Century leagues in football.

The Marmonte is scheduled to join the Pac-5 Division this fall.

The Golden West League won its appeal to remove the Pacific Coast League from the Southern Division.

The committee also rejected an appeal from the Foothill League in baseball. The Foothill didn’t like being in Division 1.
