Denvir Duruisseau, a 6-foot-8 sophomore at Sylmar, shattered the glass backboard at Sun Valley Village Christian while making a dunk on Wednesday night in a spring-league game.
Sylmar Coach Bort Escoto wasn’t there to witness it, but he said cell phones came out en masse with people taking photos of the damage and he started receiving text messages.
Duruisseau didn’t play this past season after transferring from Palmdale.
