Wednesday’s City Section Division I semifinal at USC between Chatsworth and San Fernando at 3 p.m. is a rematch of last year’s City Section Division I championship game at Dodger Stadium.

The big question for Wednesday is who San Fernando Coach Armando Gomez is going to choose to start on the mound?

‘I’m going to sleep on it,’ Gomez said.

Ace Alonzo Garcia is 12-0, but No. 2 pitcher Kevin Martinez threw a shutout in the playoff opener against Granada Hills. Both are right-handers, and Chatsworth lost twice in West Valley League play to left-handers _ Luke Laurita of El Camino Real and Jack Hartman of Cleveland.

Chatsworth is expected to use senior Kiefer Kofman on the mound.

The other semifinal matches El Camino Real and San Pedro at 6 p.m. San Pedro has been using pitchers by committee. Laurita is expected to get the call for the Conquistadores.

The two winners advance to Saturday’s City Championship game at 1 p.m. at Dodger Stadium.
