Former Simi Valley Royal pitcher Cody Buckel made the Carolina League all-star team.
Buckel was the pitcher of the month for May in the Texas Rangers organization. He’s 5-3 with a 1.31 ERA. He turns 20 on Monday.
He was a second-round draft pick in 2010.
