Football: Alemany places its trust in Brandon Boyd

If Brandon Boyd doesn’t have a lot of time to stop and chat while walking around the campus at Mission Hills Alemany, it’s because he’s a little busy.

He starts at strong safety for the football team. He starts at guard for the basketball team. And he’s going to try to play baseball this spring, too. He’s an outfielder with speed.

He’s only a junior, so he’s young, resilient and likes to please his coaches.

‘He’s a good kid,’ football Coach Dean Herrington said.

Now, if he only had a little spare time to get some sleep.
