Football: What a day for ex-Servite quarterback Cody Fajardo

Nevada football fans are going to fall in love with sophomore quarterback Cody Fajardo. The former Anaheim Servite standout completed 25 of 32 passes for 230 yards and added 97 yards rushing and a touchdown in Nevada’s 31-24 victory over California on Saturday.

Bryce Treggs (St. John Bosco) and Chris Harper (Crespi) each caught his first collegiate touchdown pass for California. Treggs caught three passes for 63 yards. Harper caught five passes for 58 yards.

Former Dorsey linebacker Robert Mullins had nine tackles for California. Former Lakewood defensive lineman Todd Barr had three tackles in his debut for California.

Former Westlake receiver Nelson Spruce caught eight passes for 64 yards and one touchdown for Colorado in a loss to Colorado State.
