Football: Some high schools have more resources than others

There are some high school football programs that have limited budgets. Then there’s Buchanan High School in Clovis, where the community loves sports.

The school is advertising for a new football coach that includes two full-time teaching positions _ one for the head coach and one for an assistant.

Its field is where the state track championships are held.

There’s a 9,000-seat stadium, a team room, a full-time trainer, a full-time athletic custodian, 16 paid football stipends, two on campus weight rooms, a teaching schedule that will include three weight training classes, a booster club.

Yes, I can imagine what anyone who works for a Los Angeles City Section school is thinking _ where can I apply?
