Stephen L. Pistner moved to McCrory Corp.

Pistner, 52, who resigned recently as president and chief executive of Montgomery Ward & Co., was named chairman and chief executive of McCrory Corp., a unit of New York-based Rapid American Corp. Pistner was also named a senior vice president and a director of the parent company, according to Chairman Meshulam Riklis. The appointments are effective Feb. 1.
