School Bus-Truck Crash Kills 1

PALMYRA, Neb. —
A school bus and a semi-trailer truck collided today, killing the bus driver and injuring 17 high school students and the driver of the truck, the State Patrol said.
None of the students were injured seriously, said a spokeswoman at St. Elizabeth Community Health Center at Lincoln. Sgt. Robert Kumm of the State Patrol office at Lincoln said the driver of the school bus died of his injuries after being flown to Lincoln General Hospital. The truck driver was in serious condition at that hospital, he said.
