A story in the Dec. 12 editions of The Times reported that board members of the Southern California Rapid Transit District had unanimously approved a new contract for RTD chief John A. Dyer that boosted his annual salary from $90,000 to $108,000 and will provide him with 20 years’ of pension benefits after six years of work. The Aug. 30 vote on the pay pact was unanimous, but board members Nate Holden, Norm Emerson, Gordana Swanson and Carmen Estrada were not present.
