Molestation Sentencing Due
A handyman at a now-closed nursery school in Lynwood pleaded no contest Friday to a charge of molesting a boy who attended the school
Henry Anthony Lawson, 24, son of the woman who operated the unlicensed Little Angels Child Care Center on Century Boulevard, will be sentenced March 1 in Los Angeles Superior Court said Deputy Dist. Atty. Eleanor E. Barrett.
Lawson’s plea, legally equivalent to a guilty plea, followed a ruling by Judge Robert T. Altman that a confession Lawson made to authorities--and later recanted--could be used against him during his trial.
The incident, which involved a 4-year-year old, took place last March in the bathroom of the nursery school, authorities said. The school was closed after authorities determined that its operator, Ann Nelson, did not have a license to operate a child-care facility.
