Rehabilitation Loans at Work Show Progress

Share

Low interest loans and technical assistance in home rehabilitation projects are currently being made available to property owners in the Hoover area through the Community Redevelopment Agency.

Bill Jones, director of the agency’s rehabilitation department, said that with the beginning of the loan program in Hoover in 1983, the agency set a goal of 50 units to be improved in the first year.

As of last August, he said, there were 22 units in the Hoover Redevelopment Project, located in South-Central Los Angeles, that have been remodeled and another 50 are in progress.
