Keith Tyrone Fudge, an 18-year-old alleged street-gang member labeled the “prime triggerman” in the Oct. 12 drive-by shooting of a party at a South-Central Los Angeles home, pleaded innocent to five counts of murder. At Fudge’s arraignment, Superior Court Judge Robert L. Roberson set a Jan. 11 hearing for attorneys to make discovery motions and scheduled a pretrial conference for Feb. 20. The charges against Fudge, who remains in custody without bail, stem from an incident on West 54th Street that left five young people dead and six others wounded. Police said the shooting appears to have been in retaliation for the theft of Fudge’s car by a rival gang member.
