The judge in the $50-million libel trial between former Israeli Defense Minister Ariel Sharon and Time magazine gave lawyers in the case an outline of the instructions he will give to the jury on critical issues later this week. When court resumes today, U.S. District Court Judge Abraham D. Sofaer is expected to decide whether to admit into evidence testimony from Israeli Judge Yitzhak Kahan about the contents of secret Israeli documents central to the case.
