Fortunetelling businesses will be allowed in the city when a new ordinance introduced by the City Council Tuesday takes effect in six weeks.
The council reconsidered the current law prohibiting fortunetelling and similar occult practices after two Redondo Beach fortunetellers last November successfully challenged the legality of the city’s ban as an unfair restriction on their right to free speech.
