Jurist Convicted of Drunk Driving in Jury Retrial
Former Orange County Superior Court Judge Mark P. Robinson Sr. was found guilty of drunk driving this week in a retrial of a 1981 case.
A jury in Harbor Municipal Court found Robinson guilty Tuesday after a 4 1/2-day trial, Municipal Judge Calvin P. Schmidt said.
The trial on the charge was the second one for Robinson, 59, who won reversal of a 1982 jury conviction. He allegedly had a blood-alcohol level of .11 when he was stopped by police in Irvine for making an improper turn on Nov. 1, 1981.
Schmidt set Jan. 17 for sentencing and a hearing on a motion for a new trial.
