Robbery Suspect Arrested

A 21-year old Bellflower woman was jailed by Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies as the suspect in four bank robberies, two of them in Orange County, in the last two weeks. Deputies said the arrest of Kim Deane Trygstad at a house on East Compton Boulevard was made after receiving numerous calls from citizens who had seen pictures of the bandit taken by bank cameras on television or in newspapers. She was jailed for investigation of robbery at the Lakewood Sheriff’s Station and held in lieu of $6,000 bail. The bank camera pictures closely resembled a woman with long, blonde hair who twice robbed the California Federal Savings and Loan branch in Westminster. The two Los Angeles County robberies were in Hawaiian Gardens and Lakewood. In the Hawaiian Gardens holdup, a woman, labeled the “bag lady” by FBI investigators because in each case she had carried the stolen cash away in a purse, told a teller at the Bank of America to “give me all your money or you’ll be shot,” an FBI spokesman said.
