A 21-year-old Bellflower woman has been arrested by Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies as a suspect in four Los Angeles-area bank robberies over the last two weeks.

Investigators said Friday that Kim Deane Trygstad was arrested Thursday night at her home in the 9200 block of East Compton Boulevard after law enforcement agencies received numerous calls from citizens who had seen pictures of the alleged robber, taken by bank cameras, that were broadcast on television or printed in newspapers.

Trygstad was booked for investigation of robbery at the Lakewood sheriff’s station and remained in custody in lieu of $6,000 bail.

Two of the robberies were in Hawaiian Gardens and Lakewood and the other two occurred in Westminster in Orange County, deputies said.

In the Hawaiian Gardens holdup, which occurred Thursday, a woman robber handed a teller a note that, according to FBI spokesman Fred Reagan, said: “Give up all your money. I have a gun. Hurry. Be quiet until I’m gone.”

Similar methods were used in the other robberies, Reagan said, adding that no weapon was seen during the holdups.

Information on how much money was taken during the four robberies was not available.
