A member of the Chicago Mercantile was expelled.
The exchange also levied a fine of $100,000, one of the largest ever imposed, against Peter Yip of Hong Kong. Yip has been investigated in connection with an alleged multimillion commodity scam in the Pacific Northwest, though no criminal charges have been filed. The case involves the defunct offices of King Lung Commodities Ltd., which Seattle and Canadian police said is still under investigation.
