Anaheim : Candidates to Get City Bills for Removal of Their Posters

Several candidates in the November elections will receive bills from the city for failing to remove their campaign signs from public property.

Fred Hunter, an attorney who ran unsuccessfully for City Council, will be billed $961 bill for 897 signs.

Doris Allen, who was elected to her 71st Assembly post, will be billed $32 for 29 signs.

Jerry Patterson, who lost his reelection bid in the 38th Congressional District against Robert Dornan, will be billed $27 for 25 signs.

And Bill Davenport, elected to the Municipal Water District of Orange County, Division 4, will get a bill for $22, for 20 signs.

A city ordinance says the candidates are responsible for labor costs if the city must remove campaign posters.
