A Cuban jetliner bound for Nicaragua crashed shortly after takeoff from Havana airport, killing all 40 people aboard, the official Cuban news agency reported. The agency said the dead on the Soviet-made Ilyushin 80 included an unidentified American, 25 Cubans and 10 Nicaraguans--among them Sandinista government officials and the wife and daughter of the Nicaraguan ambassador to Cuba.
