Five acres of public school property, with an estimated value of more than $1 million, are being offered for sale by the Azusa Unified School District. One portion of the land contains Sierra Continuation High School, which is to be moved from 5th Avenue to a site near the district offices on Citrus Avenue. The other portion contains Mountain View Elementary School, which has been declared surplus. Money from the sale of the properties will be used for refurbishing existing buildings in the district, a school official said.
