Bardsley Makes SCC Look Like Can’t-Miss Winner, 108-69

Forward Ken Bardsley was 11 for 11 from the floor Thursday and scored 23 points to lead Southern California College to a 108-69 rout of Cal State San Bernardino in a nonconference game in the Vanguards’ gym at Costa Mesa.

Bardsley was one of six SCC players to score in double figures. Point guard Sherwin Durham was the Vanguards’ second-leading scorer with 17 points in addition to having a season-high 9 assists.

SCC (15-4) made 9 of its first 12 shots from the floor and was never threatened by the Coyotes. The Vanguards led, 57-31, at halftime, and in the second half Coach Bill Reynolds cleared his bench. All 12 players on the SCC roster saw action.

Jim Watkins led Cal State San Bernardino, which plays host to SCC on Saturday, with 16 points.
