Advisory Panel Named in Culver City
The Culver City Redevelopment Agency has established a 17-member advisory committee in connection with the development of the 11-acre property that is now home of the Studio Drive-in Theatre.
Neighbors of the drive-in were angered last year when city planners put forward a plan for 389 apartments and condominiums on the property, including an eight-story and a five-story building.
City officials tried to calm residents by assuring them that the plan was tentative, but decided to form the committee to give the neighbors more of a say in what happens to the property.
The city’s design for development is supposed to act as a guideline for the eventual developer of the property, located at the corner of Sepulveda and Jefferson boulevards.
