A six-month Sheriff’s Department investigation culminated Tuesday in the arrests of four Orange County residents on warrants charging them with cocaine sales.

The arrests were made at dawn by sheriff’s narcotics investigators, who allegedly had purchased a gram to an eighth of an ounce of cocaine from each suspect in or around a San Juan Capistrano bar since last July, said Lt. Dick Olson. He said three others charged with cocaine sales in arrest warrants have not been located.

Booked into Orange County Jail were: Barbara Ann Knox, 27, of Costa Mesa; Adele Janice Frascella, 36, of Dana Point; Thomas Paul Gdanitz, 42, of Capistrano Beach, and Joseph Omer Abbott, 53, of San Clemente.

A 25-year-old San Juan Capistrano man also was arrested and booked into the jail on one count of cocaine sales, but Olson would not disclose the man’s name because he said the suspect had agreed to act as an informant.

The suspects were charged with one to three counts of cocaine sales and were being held on bail ranging from $10,000 to $25,000.
