Share

Former Assembly Minority Leader Robert Naylor said he will fly around California Feb. 13 to announce his 1986 candidacy for the U.S. Senate seat held by Sen. Alan Cranston. Naylor (R-Menlo Park) said his announcement tour will include Sacramento, San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego. Naylor stepped down in November from the minority leader post he had held for three years, saying he was exploring the possibility of running for the U.S. Senate. Naylor has been in the Assembly since 1978. His present term expires at the end of 1986. His tour will be made right after the Feb. 11 and 12 statewide circuit of state Sen. Ed Davis (R-Chatsworth) to announce his candidacy for the seat held by Democrat Cranston.
