Sweden, Norway Play Game in Stockholm
Sweden and Norway play their first international American style football game today in Stockholm.
“We formed an American Football Assn. last autumn and will start a National Swedish League in May,” Mats Froding, president for the Swedish Assn., said.
The sport’s progress in Sweden depends on the development of cable TV and (the satellite broadcasted) Sky Channel, where matches from America are shown every week, said Froding.
“Broadcasting from United States became a gigantic booster in Finland,” said Froding.
