The Region : Roberti Supports Museum of Tolerance
State Senate President Pro Tem David A. Roberti (D-Los Angeles) hopes to illustrate the damage prejudice has done to society by introducing a bill to pay for a unique museum designed to help visitors discover their hidden biases. The bill, announced in a news conference at the Simon Wiesenthal Center, will provide $5 million from the state general fund for the estimated $8 million required to build a Museum of Tolerance, part of a major $35-million expansion of the center’s Holocaust Museum.
