A Van Nuys woman who led police on a high-speed chase with her 7-year-old daughter in the car was arrested early Tuesday on suspicion of felony child endangering, driving under the influence of drugs and evading arrest, Los Angeles police said.

Marie Weiss, 25, was driving erratically when police tried to pull her over near Victory and Van Nuys boulevards shortly after 3 a.m., Sgt. Alfonso Rodriguez said.

Weiss led police on an 15-mile pursuit at speeds up to 60 m.p.h., narrowly missing several parked cars, Rodriguez said.

The pursuit ended at Sepulveda and Roscoe boulevards when Weiss’ car broke down, police said.

Officers found the child on the right front floorboard, “scared and hysterical.” She told officers her fingers were sore from hanging on during the pursuit, Rodriguez said.
