Cooktop Modules Are Easy to Clean

Share

The manufacturer calls it a breakthrough in cleanability. The Dacor Continental Module is a lot more than that.

It’s the first solid element module for use with all Dacor modular cooktops, drop-ins and free-standing ranges. Eliminated are coils, drip pans and spill catchers--so a wipe with a sponge is all that is necessary to keep the module clean.

That’s good news for everyone who has labored to remove baked-on food from drip pans and coils--a nasty job.

There is a lot to be said for solid elements. Besides being attractive and easy to clean, their stability provides a safe, level cooking surface for large pots, with cooking oils evenly distributed across the pan.

Uniform watt density across the entire cooking vessel bottom assures uniform cooking of food. Two large elements (eight inches) provide 2,000 watts each, while two smaller ones (six inches) provide 1,500 watts.

Solid elements have a much longer life than conventional elements, according to Dacor, and furthermore, they are backed by an extended factory warranty of five years. Another plus: Pots and pans reportedly last longer when used on solid elements.

The cooler surface temperature of the element reduces fire hazards and makes for a cooler kitchen.

Charcoal gray solid contoured elements in a black porcelain enamel cooktop surface give the Continental Module a look of tomorrow. And, it’s design coordinated with Dacor’s black porcelain enamel wok module.

Also, it interchanges quickly and easily with the barbecue module and griddle and rotisserie accessories.
