Medical Buildings : Rees-Stealy Signs Lease for La Mesa Structure

The Rees-Stealy Medical Group has signed a 15-year, $5,073,435 lease with Grossmont Financial for a build-to-suit medical office building on nearly an acre at El Cajon Boulevard and Guava Avenue, La Mesa. Construction will begin soon and occupancy is scheduled for November.

The one-story, 17,200-square-foot building, developed by Grossmont, was designed by architects Krommenhoek/McKeown & Associates. Dunphy Construction Co. is construction manager and general contractor and the lease was brokered by Coldwell Banker Commercial Real Estate Services.

New Office Building

J. H. Hedrick Enterprises Inc. plans to build a three-story medical office building, to be named West Park Medical Plaza, one-quarter of a block east of West Park Hospital and southwest of the intersection of Roscoe and Topanga Canyon boulevards in Canoga Park.

Construction financing of $2.9 million has been arranged by First Interstate Mortgage Co.’s Health Care Financing Group. The architect is Associated Architectural Design Group, a Hedrick Enterprises subsidiary, and the general contractor will be J. H. Hedrick Co.

Computer Facility

Completion of a $473,000 facility, consisting of 10,000 square feet of office and computer space in an existing building, for the UC Medical Center in Kearny Mesa, San Diego, is scheduled for Friday. Dunphy Construction Co., San Diego, is general contractor and the project architect is Engineering Alliance Corp.

Kaiser Facility

Construction has begun on a $4-million medical office building for Kaiser Permanente Health Plan Inc. at 3250 Fordham St., San Diego, with completion scheduled for June. The two-story, 40,000-square-foot building, with parking for 450 cars, was designed by Neptune & Thomas and is being built by Dillingham Construction; it will house pediatrics, radiology, internal medicine, family practice medicine, cardiac rehabilitation, optical dispensary and treatment, general surgery and pharmacy.
