Magazine Honors Heating, Air-Conditioning Firms

Ten heating and air conditioning firms will be honored with lifetime achievement awards from Indoor Comfort News magazine at the publication's 30th anniversary celebration Thursday at the Los Angeles Hilton.

Bruce Herschensohn, KABC and KABC-TV political commentator will be the guest speaker at the event. More than 300 industry leaders are expected to attend the celebration, according to Rickey Gamore, publisher of the magazine.

She added that invitations have been extended to the original members of the editorial committee who founded the publication in 1955, as well as all the past presidents of the Institute of Heating & Air Conditioning Industries, owner of the magazine.

The award recipients, in alphabetical order, are Burke Engineering Co., 9700 Factorial Way, South El Monte; Carrier Southern California, 16900 E. Chestnut St., Industry; Haldeman Inc., 2937 Tanager Ave., Los Angeles; George T. Hall Co., 1850 S. Anaheim Blvd., Anaheim; Honeywell's Los Angeles office, 6620 Telegraph Road.

Also, the Southern California branch of Lennox Industries Air Conditioning & Heating, 1400 Manhattan Ave., Fullerton; Magic Chef Air Conditioning, Columbus, Ohio; Reliable Steel Supply Division of Bell Industries, 740 East 111th Place, Los Angeles, and Smallcomb Electric Co., 3237 Garfield Ave., Commerce.
