Jury Vote
For some time now law-and-order advocates have sought changes in the jury system so that criminal convictions can be obtained by a less than unanimous vote. Perhaps Mayor Roger Hedgecock of San Diego, as a good conservative, will honor that demand and resign on the basis of his jury’s 11-1 vote for his conviction.
