Javits Recovering From Lung Infection

NEW YORK —
Former New York Sen. Jacob K. Javits was recovering from a lung infection Monday after being hospitalized for breathing problems.
Seth Marten, a hospital spokesman, said that Javits, 80, who was diagnosed six years ago as having a form of Lou Gehrig’s disease, “is resting comfortably and is in good spirits.”
