Hermosa Beach

Contract negotiations have resumed between the city and the Hermosa Beach Police Officers Assn., ending almost five months of impasse.

Mayor George Barks said Tuesday that the police association has agreed to drop legal action against the city, which imposed changes in hours and working conditions and a wage and benefit package amounting to a 6% increase for the employees last October.

The police contract expired last Sept. 30.
