Datapoint filed suit against Asher B. Edelman.

The company sued in both U.S. District Court and state court in San Antonio against Edelman, a group of partnerships that he controls and certain other individuals. Datapoint’s complaint alleges that Edelman and others seeking to replace the company’s board of directors would be creating interlocking directorates between Datapoint, Mohawk Data Sciences and Management Assistance Inc. in violation of the Clayton Antitrust Act. Datapoint is asking that the Edelman group be enjoined from taking any further steps to replace Datapoint’s board.
