Thank You Note
I had such a heartwarming experience while visiting in your city last month that I would like to share it.
The bus on which I was traveling back to the airport from the Bonaventure Hotel was flagged down by a passing motorist and informed that one piece of luggage had fallen out of the first bin. Upon checking, it was determined to be my weekend bag and though we circled back to look for it, it was gone.
Two days later I received a call from the hotel telling me that my bag was brought in and left in the lobby. It was sent to me intact--nothing missing.
No doubt another motorist saw the suitcase on the road, noted it still had the Bonaventure room tag number on it and brought it back to the hotel.
Since I don’t know to whom I should direct my personal thanks I extend instead my appreciation in general to the gracious and honest people of Los Angeles.
