Funds for Handicapped:Elks Lodge No. 1952 has donated $4,000 to two groups that provide help to the handicapped. The American Riding Club for the Handicapped, based at Anaheim’s Rancho Del Rio Stable, received $2,000 to buy safety riding equipment. The club teaches handicapped children and adults how to ride horses. A second $2,000 grant went to Hi-Hopes University-Unico National College to replace stolen musical equipment. The organization provides permanent or temporary residence and training for artistically gifted, mentally handicapped individuals. Members of the group have performed at the lodge several times and on the steps of the Capitol in Washington, D.C.
